Another day in San Francisco

We have a few more places we want to see before we head up to the redwoods on Wednesday.  This morning we hopped on the boat to Alcatraz.  We took advantage of the self guided Audio tour.  It was very informative and gave very specific direction around the prison.
This is what's left of the housing where the guards and their families lived.

Listening to all the information.
After we got back to Pier 39 we came across these steps that played like a piano as you stepped on them.
One of the other attractions on our list (or I should say, the  Chief and The Cisco Kids list) was going to see the inside of a WWII submarine.  Since that does not interest me at all, I let them go and I stayed at Pier 39 and went shopping.

Once they were done with their exploration of the sub, we went to the Palace of Fine Arts.  I just love the architecture of these buildings.

As if the building and the lake around the property was not enchanting enough, they had white swans swimming in the lake.  I just so happen to have some popcorn in the truck, so we fed them.

It was a long day.  We got into San Francisco at 9:54 a.m. and did not leave until 6:30 p.m.  I am off to sleep! Until tomorrow.
