5th Grade Graduation

Graduating 5th Grade is just one of many graduations he will be part of.  He just blew me away when I saw him in his suit.  He looks like a little man. 

Looking at him in his suit makes me reflect back to his younger years and how he has developed over time.  It is amazing at the age of eleven, I have a real good inclination on what kind of man he will be as an adult.  He has all the right qualities any proud mother can ask for. 

Right after the Ceremony, The Cisco Kid wanted to go to his Boy Scout Meeting.  He went there and I went home to decorate and put out some of his favorite snacks. 

 

 

Bedroom Renovation still in progress

Completed some more of the Bunk/loft Bed.  It is now painted and the second set of stairs are done.  I feel better with the second set of stairs because they are easier to climb then the straight ladder.  I found some metal letters for his room at Hobby Lobby.  I was originally going to put them on the wall, but when The Cisco Kid saw them, he wanted them on his bed.  I have to say they look better on the bed than they would on the wall. 

Next weekend we are going to finish up the bedroom.  We still have to build the desk under the bed, as well as a bench.  The bench will be made out of the headboard and food board of his old bed.  In one of the pictures you can see the headboard under the loft bed.  I am also going to make a game table out of the drawers to the bed.

Bunk Bed

We spent all day yesterday building The Cisco Kids Bunk Bed.  Just buying some 2x4 and screws we re-purposed his old Trundle Bed into a Bunk Bed.  I still have to paint it, put a desk under it and make a second set of steps.  He was so excited to spend the night in it. 

Hopefully we will be able to finish everything today.  I will put some more pictures up tomorrow.

Out with with Baby Bedroom in with the Tween!

Last weekend we started the renovation of The Cisco Kid's Bedroom.  He has a little boys bedroom with the ocean scenery all around the room.  There are also some cartoon characters, surfboard and plane paintings.  Everything is getting painted over.  Good By to all those cute painting I painted eleven years ago. 

 

 

 

End of Day one.  They removed all the toys out of the bedroom. It filled 6 large boxes.  They removed the roof, and the shelves. 

As soon as I said we were done for the day they both flopped on the floor and rested there for about fifteen minutes.

This weekend we are building his Bunk Bed.  I will post some more pictures of the room tomorrow.
